SurgiQuest

SurgiQuest developed and commercialized the AirSeal System, an FDA-cleared proprietary access device for minimally invasive surgeries. The system provides stable pneumoperitoneum and continuous smoke evacuation during laparoscopic and robotic procedures. By 2015, it had been used in over 100,000 procedures worldwide with strong clinical adoption and evidence supporting its benefits in surgical environments. The company was acquired by Conmed in early 2016 for $265 million. Prior to acquisition, revenue was growing rapidly (~50% annual growth), with $35 million reported in the first nine months of 2015; projected full-year revenue was $46–49 million for that year.
