Company intelligence / Profile preview
Sustainable Development Technology Canada (SDTC) is an arm's-length foundation created by the Government of Canada to support the development and demonstration of innovative clean technology solutions. The organization provides non-dilutive funding and strategic support to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) working on technologies that address climate change, clean air, clean water, and clean soil. While its primary focus is environmental sustainability, SDTC frequently funds biotechnology applications within the agricultural, waste management, and bio-energy sectors. In 2024, the Canadian government announced that SDTC's operations and funding programs would be transitioned into the National Research Council of Canada (NRC) following governance reviews.
