Sutter Securities Group is a U.S. financial services and investment banking company, not a biotech or healthcare operating company. Founded in 2013 and headquartered in Irvine, California, it owns and operates a set of regulated capital-markets subsidiaries including broker-dealer, clearing, transfer agent, funding portal, and investment management businesses. The company is best known for its FlashFunders online securities platform, which is designed to support capital formation across Regulation D, Regulation A+, Regulation S, Regulation CF, and registered IPO offerings. Sutter Securities Group appears to operate as part of the Boustead organization and has been described as a majority-owned subsidiary of Boustead & Company Limited following its sale to Boustead in 2017.
