Suzhou Maitai Bio-Technology

Suzhou Maitai Bio-Technology is a Chinese biotechnology company focused on the research and development of innovative small molecule therapeutics, particularly in oncology. The company's lead program is mefatinib (also known as mifanertinib maleate or maihuatinib), a novel, potent, and irreversible next-generation EGFR/HER2 tyrosine kinase inhibitor. In October 2025, mefatinib was approved by China's National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) for the first-line treatment of adult patients with locally advanced or metastatic non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) harboring EGFR exon 21 L858R substitution mutations. Suzhou Maitai co-developed mefatinib with Huadong Medicine (Zhongmei Huadong), which holds the development and commercialization rights for the drug in China.
