Suzhou Shanwan Biopharmaceutical Technology, also known as Shanwan Bio, is a Chinese biotechnology company founded in 2018 that specializes in the development and manufacturing of complex sustained-release dosage forms. The company has established a proprietary in-situ gel matrix technology platform for controlled drug delivery, which is particularly suited for long-acting injectables of peptides and small molecules. Its lead program is a long-acting Leuprolide Acetate in-situ gel for the treatment of prostate cancer, which was the first of its kind to receive clinical trial approval in China. In addition to its internal pipeline, Shanwan Bio provides CDMO services, including formulation development, analytical testing, and GMP-compliant manufacturing.
