Sviluppo Lazio was the regional development agency for the Lazio region in Italy, serving as a primary institutional driver for economic growth and technological innovation. It played a pivotal role in the life sciences sector by managing the Technological District of Biosciences (DTB) and supporting one of Italy's most significant pharmaceutical and biotechnology clusters. The agency provided a comprehensive suite of services, including the management of regional and European structural funds, venture capital investments, and business incubation for high-tech startups. It also facilitated internationalization programs to help local companies compete in global markets. In 2014, Sviluppo Lazio was merged with several other regional entities to form Lazio Innova, which continues to foster regional competitiveness and innovation.
