Sweetbay Supermarkets

Sweetbay Supermarkets was a retail grocery chain headquartered in Tampa, Florida, that operated as a subsidiary of the Belgian Delhaize Group. Launched in 2004 as a rebranding of the Kash n' Karry chain, the company focused on a "fresh market" concept and operated numerous full-service retail pharmacies. In 2013, the chain was acquired by Bi-Lo Holdings, the parent company of Winn-Dixie, leading to the conversion of most stores to the Winn-Dixie banner. The company was strictly a retail and pharmacy services provider and did not engage in biotechnology research, drug discovery, or clinical-stage life science development.
