Company intelligence / Profile preview
Synata Bio has developed a proprietary gas fermentation technology that converts industrial waste gases—primarily CO2, carbon monoxide, and hydrogen—into valuable products such as ethanol, ethyl acetate, and high-protein animal feed. The process has been demonstrated at pilot scale and is now being deployed at commercial scale through the Sylonto joint venture in China. The first plant will produce approximately 50,000 tons of ethanol per year from on-site waste gases. The company claims its process reduces CO2 emissions by about 4 tons per ton of product produced.
