Overview
Synchronicity Pharma has developed the first clinical-stage compound shown to safely target core-clock molecular machinery and modulate clock-regulated gene expression in humans. Its lead molecule, SHP1705, is a cryptochrome stabilizer that has demonstrated safety and active core clock control in early clinical testing. Phase II trials are planned for glioblastoma patients within two to three years. Other molecules are being studied for colorectal cancer, liver cancer, acute myeloid leukemia, and sleep-wake disorders. Preclinical data show reduced proliferation of glioblastoma stem cells by targeting circadian proteins.
