Company intelligence / Profile preview
Syndeio was a biotechnology company founded by Flagship Pioneering that pioneered the field of intersystems biology to develop programmable medicines. The company focused on identifying and harnessing the natural molecular communication pathways between humans and other species, such as the microbiome and plants, to create novel therapeutic delivery systems. By exploiting these evolutionary interfaces, Syndeio aimed to develop medicines with enhanced precision, bioavailability, and targeting capabilities. In October 2020, Syndeio was merged with three other Flagship-founded entities—Kintai Therapeutics, Sana Health, and Moma Therapeutics—to form Senda Biosciences. Senda Biosciences subsequently merged with Laronde in 2023 to create Sail Biomedicines, where Syndeio's foundational technology continues to support the development of natural nanoparticle delivery platforms.
