Synova Healthcare was a specialty pharmaceutical company that focused on developing and commercializing products for the women's healthcare market. The company's primary offerings included the Synova Pre-Natal line of nutritional supplements and Relactagel, a non-antibiotic treatment for bacterial vaginosis. Synova targeted healthcare providers in the OB/GYN space to distribute its prescription and over-the-counter solutions. After being founded in the mid-2000s and trading publicly, the company encountered liquidity issues and filed for bankruptcy in 2008. Its assets were eventually sold to Bio-Reference Laboratories, which integrated the products into its own women's health diagnostics and therapeutics business.
