Synovex

Synovex was a private U.S. biotechnology company founded in 2006 to develop therapies based on cadherin-11 biology, particularly for rheumatoid arthritis, fibrosis, and other inflammatory diseases. The company was established around research from Michael Brenner and David Lee at Brigham and Women's Hospital and Harvard Medical School and focused on disrupting pathogenic cell adhesion. Its lead program was SDP051, a cadherin-11-targeting monoclonal antibody that had completed Phase 1 clinical development by the time the company, then operating as Adheron Therapeutics, agreed to be acquired by Roche in 2015. Synovex later rebranded as Adheron Therapeutics, so the requested name corresponds to the company's earlier legal and operating identity rather than a currently active standalone business.
