Company intelligence / Profile preview
SynPro Corp. was a specialized contract manufacturing organization (CMO) focused on the production of synthetic nucleic acids, including short synthetic DNA and RNA molecules. Based in Boulder, Colorado, the company provided active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) and related services to the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries, particularly for use in clinical trials. Its expertise centered on oligonucleotide synthesis, a critical component for emerging RNA-based therapeutics and antisense technologies. In April 2006, SynPro was acquired by Agilent Technologies to serve as the foundation for Agilent's expansion into the rapidly growing RNA synthesis market. Following the acquisition, the facility became a key part of Agilent's Nucleic Acid Solutions Division.
