Syntenza was a Dutch biotechnology company focused on the development of synthetic Toll-like receptor (TLR) ligands for use as vaccine adjuvants. The company's core technology, Amplivant, is a potent synthetic TLR2 ligand designed to enhance the immune response to therapeutic vaccines, particularly in oncology and infectious disease settings. Syntenza's platform was built on expertise in synthetic chemistry and site-specific conjugation, which also contributed to the early development of technologies later utilized in the antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) space. The company was acquired by ISA Pharmaceuticals in 2010, and its technology has since been integrated into ISA's clinical-stage immunotherapy pipeline.
