Syntopix Group

Syntopix Group was a UK-based biopharmaceutical company specializing in the discovery and development of antimicrobial compounds for the dermatology and oral care markets. Spun out from the University of Leeds in 2003, the company focused on identifying synergistic combinations of compounds to treat conditions such as acne, skin infections, and atopic dermatitis. Its research leveraged a proprietary library of antimicrobial agents to develop products that could be used in both pharmaceutical and consumer healthcare settings. In 2011, Syntopix was acquired by Sinclair IS Pharma (now Sinclair Pharma) to strengthen its dermatology portfolio and pipeline.
