SynX Pharma was a Canadian biotechnology company specializing in the development and commercialization of rapid, point-of-care diagnostic tests for cardiovascular diseases and other critical conditions. The company's primary focus was on biomarkers for congestive heart failure and acute myocardial infarction, utilizing its proprietary immunoassay technology. SynX's lead products included tests for B-type natriuretic peptide (BNP) and various cardiac markers such as Troponin I and Myoglobin. In 2004, the company was acquired by Nanogen, Inc. to strengthen Nanogen's position in the diagnostic market. Beyond cardiology, SynX also explored diagnostic applications for traumatic brain injury and neurodegenerative diseases.
