Company intelligence / Profile preview
t. Breeders was an early cell therapy and regenerative medicine biotechnology company focused on ex vivo expansion of stem and progenitor cell populations, particularly in the context of transplantation and hematologic disease. The company developed patented technologies for selective expansion of target cell populations and sought to apply them to stem cell replacement and related cellular therapeutic applications. In April 2000, t. Breeders merged with Viacord and the combined company changed its name to ViaCell. ViaCell was later acquired by PerkinElmer in 2007, so t. Breeders no longer operates as an independent company.
