Talon Capital

Talon Therapeutics, formerly known as Hana Biosciences, was a biopharmaceutical company dedicated to the development and commercialization of targeted oncology therapies. The company's lead product, Marqibo (vincristine sulfate liposome injection), utilized a proprietary nanoparticle-encapsulation technology to improve the delivery and therapeutic index of the chemotherapy agent vincristine. Marqibo received FDA accelerated approval in 2012 for the treatment of adult patients with Philadelphia chromosome-negative acute lymphoblastic leukemia (Ph- ALL) in second or greater relapse. In July 2013, Talon Therapeutics was acquired by Spectrum Pharmaceuticals, which integrated the company's liposomal pipeline into its oncology portfolio.
