Company intelligence / Profile preview
TANA Netting (originally founded as SiamDutch Mosquito Netting) was a manufacturer and distributor of vector control products, specializing in long-lasting insecticidal nets (LLINs) for malaria prevention. Headquartered in Dubai, UAE, with manufacturing facilities in Thailand and Pakistan, the company was a major supplier of WHOPES-recommended DawaPlus 2.0 nets to global humanitarian organizations, including the Global Fund. In 2021, an investigation by the Global Fund's Office of the Inspector General revealed that TANA Netting had supplied over 52 million substandard, underdosed nets manufactured with an unapproved chemical formula. Following this scandal, the company's contracts were suspended, and it is now defunct.
