Overview
TangGene is a privately held biotechnology company developing precision in vivo CD8+ regulatory T cell (Treg) therapies for autoimmune diseases. Founded in 2024 and headquartered in New Brunswick, New Jersey, the company utilizes a proprietary PLGA nanoparticle platform to reprogram dendritic cells in vivo, selectively stimulating and expanding tissue-specific, HLA-E-restricted CD8+ Tregs to restore immune tolerance. Its lead program, TG-MS01, is currently in preclinical development for multiple sclerosis (MS) and is advancing toward IND-enabling studies. Beyond MS, TangGene is leveraging its platform to build a pipeline of curative therapies for other major autoimmune conditions, including rheumatoid arthritis, type 1 diabetes, inflammatory bowel disease, and lupus.
