Taylor Pharmacal was a specialized pharmaceutical manufacturing company based in Decatur, Illinois, that focused on the production of sterile injectable and ophthalmic drug products. In 1996, Taylor Pharmacal was acquired by Akorn, Inc., serving as the foundation for Akorn's manufacturing capabilities in the specialty injectable market.
