TB Alert is the UK’s national tuberculosis charity, dedicated to the control and ultimate eradication of tuberculosis (TB) both in the UK and internationally. Founded in 1998, the organization focuses on raising public and professional awareness, supporting patients through treatment, and advocating for improved TB policies and resources. TB Alert operates through partnerships with health services, local NGOs, and international bodies like the Stop TB Partnership and the Global Fund. Its work spans the entire patient pathway, from awareness and screening to diagnosis and treatment support, with a significant geographic focus on the UK and high-burden regions in India and Southern Africa. The organization also provides technical assistance to other NGOs to improve the effectiveness of TB programs globally.
