Team of Physicians for Students

Team of Physicians for Students (TOPS) is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing comprehensive medical screenings for student-athletes to prevent sudden cardiac death and other health issues. Based in Arizona, the organization offers free sports physicals that include electrocardiograms (EKGs) and echocardiograms when necessary, going beyond standard school requirements. TOPS collaborates with local physicians, hospitals, and volunteers to ensure that students, regardless of their financial situation, have access to high-quality preventative cardiac care. Since its inception, the program has screened thousands of students, identifying potentially life-threatening conditions before they manifest during athletic activities.
