Technowal was a Belgian venture capital firm based in Liège, specializing in early-stage investments within the biotechnology and life sciences sectors. Founded in 1989 as a subsidiary of the Société Régionale d'Investissement de Wallonie (SRIW), the firm played a critical role in fostering the biotechnology ecosystem in the Walloon region of Belgium. Its investment portfolio included several prominent healthcare and diagnostic companies, such as MDxHealth (formerly OncoMethylome Sciences), DNAVision, and TiGenix. Technowal was eventually integrated into SRIW Techno (now part of Wallonie Entreprendre) as part of a broader consolidation of regional investment vehicles. The firm's activities were instrumental in establishing the 'Biotech Valley' around Liège.
