Tek-Matic

Tek-Matic is a U.S.-based lab automation and engineered systems company that provides robotic, liquid handling, thermal cycling, incubation, plate storage, motion control, and related integration services to biotechnology, pharmaceutical, diagnostics, and other high-tech customers. Rather than developing therapeutics, the company operates as a commercial provider of automation hardware, workflow solutions, software/method-development support, and custom engineering for laboratory and production environments. Its offerings span off-the-shelf products, custom-configured systems, installation, startup assistance, training, and technical support. Tek-Matic also acts as a distributor and partner for selected automation vendors, including HighRes Biosolutions. The business was founded in 1983 in Illinois and was sold in 2025 to Flow Control Group, where it appears to continue operating as an acquired subsidiary.
