Teligent

Teligent was a specialty generic pharmaceutical company focused on the development, manufacturing, and marketing of topical, injectable, complex, and ophthalmic generic products. Headquartered in Buena, New Jersey, the company operated a significant manufacturing facility and maintained a portfolio of Abbreviated New Drug Applications (ANDAs) targeting dermatology and pain management. Formerly known as IGI Laboratories, the company rebranded in 2015 to emphasize its focus on specialty medicines. Following a period of financial distress and regulatory hurdles, Teligent filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in October 2021. Its assets were subsequently liquidated, with the majority of its US product portfolio acquired by PAI Pharma and its Canadian operations sold to SteriMax in early 2022.
