Tella Pharma

Tella was a Japanese biotechnology company specializing in the development and commercialization of dendritic cell-based cancer immunotherapies. The company's core business revolved around providing cell processing technologies and clinical support for personalized cancer vaccines, most notably targeting the WT1 antigen. Tella collaborated extensively with medical institutions across Japan to offer its proprietary dendritic cell therapy to patients. Despite reaching late-stage clinical trials for indications such as pancreatic cancer, the company faced significant financial and legal challenges. Tella ultimately filed for bankruptcy and was delisted from the Tokyo Stock Exchange in 2022.
