Tenby Pharma was a specialty pharmaceutical company focused on the development and commercialization of products in the gastroenterology (GI) space. Headquartered in Bedminster, New Jersey, the company was founded by Alan Rubino, a veteran pharmaceutical executive with extensive experience in commercializing specialty drugs. Tenby's primary mission was to identify, acquire, and advance late-stage GI assets to address unmet medical needs and improve patient outcomes. In April 2018, the company was acquired by Sebela Pharmaceuticals, a specialty pharma firm with a strong presence in GI, women's health, and dermatology. Following the acquisition, Tenby's assets and expertise were integrated into Sebela's broader portfolio, supporting the development and launch of key products such as the colonoscopy preparation Sutab. The acquisition allowed Sebela to leverage Tenby's strategic focus and leadership to further strengthen its position in the gastroenterology market.
