Terrapin Pharmacy

Terrapin Pharmacy was a U.S. closed-door specialty pharmacy focused on high-touch medication distribution and adherence support for people with complex behavioral health needs. The company primarily served patients with serious and persistent mental illness, intellectual and developmental disabilities, and substance use disorder through relationships with community-based behavioral health agencies and long-term care facilities. In January 2022, Terrapin was recapitalized by WindRose Health Investors, and in August 2023 it rebranded as Altruix as part of a combination with Bank’s Apothecary and the Lancaster Altruix/Ganse Apothecary operations. Its business centered on commercial pharmacy services, medication management, prior authorization support, delivery, and adherence technology rather than discovery-stage drug development. The Annapolis operation traces its founding mission to 2005.
