Tesla Medical is a medical technology company that developed a non-invasive neuromodulation platform for the treatment of overactive bladder (OAB). The company's primary innovation is a transcutaneous magnetic stimulation (TMS) device that targets the tibial nerve to alleviate symptoms of urinary urgency and frequency. Unlike traditional percutaneous treatments that require needle insertion, Tesla Medical's technology offers a completely non-invasive, patient-friendly alternative. The company was founded as a spin-off from Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario. In December 2020, Tesla Medical was acquired by Laborie Medical Technologies, a global leader in urology and pelvic health, to integrate the TMS technology into their broader therapeutic portfolio.
