Tetraphase Therapeutics

Tetraphase Pharmaceuticals was a U.S. biopharmaceutical company focused on discovering, developing, and commercializing novel fully synthetic tetracyclines for serious infections, especially those caused by multidrug-resistant bacteria. Its lead and only approved product was Xerava (eravacycline), an intravenous fluorocycline antibiotic approved for complicated intra-abdominal infections in adults. The company also advanced additional antibiotic candidates including TP-271 and TP-6076, and explored TP-2846 in acute myeloid leukemia. Tetraphase was founded in 2006 in the Boston area and operated as a Nasdaq-listed company under the ticker TTPH before being acquired by La Jolla Pharmaceutical in July 2020. Following the acquisition, Tetraphase became a wholly owned subsidiary and ceased operating as an independent public company.
