Texas Center for Child and Family Studies

The Texas Center for Child and Family Studies is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that serves as the research and training arm of the Texas Alliance of Child and Family Services (TACFS). Founded in 2000, the Center is dedicated to strengthening the child welfare system in Texas by providing agencies with specialized knowledge, skills, and evidence-based practices. Its work includes conducting rigorous research, offering professional consultations, and hosting major educational events such as the Texas Child Care Administrator’s Conference. The Center also manages strategic initiatives like the Heart Galleries of Texas and programs focused on the commercial sexual exploitation of youth. By empowering a highly skilled workforce, the Center ensures that vulnerable children and families across Texas receive high-quality care and support.
