The Ayurvedic Institute

The Ayurvedic Institute is a premier educational and healing center dedicated to the traditional Vedic sciences of Ayurveda. Founded in 1984 by Vasant Lad, B.A.M.S., M.A.Sc., the institute offers comprehensive training programs for Ayurvedic practitioners, as well as clinical services and public workshops. Its curriculum integrates the clinical, philosophical, and practical aspects of Ayurveda, including herbology, nutrition, and Panchakarma therapies. Originally based in Albuquerque, New Mexico, the institute relocated its main campus to Asheville, North Carolina, to continue its mission of spreading Ayurvedic wisdom. The organization serves as both a school for professional certification and a wellness clinic for holistic patient care.
