The Chrysalis Initiative

The Chrysalis Initiative is a U.S.-based nonprofit health equity organization focused on reducing disparities in breast cancer care, particularly for Black women and other underserved groups. Founded in 2019 by Jamil Rivers, the organization provides one-on-one coaching, patient navigation, provider education, equity assessment, and digital support tools designed to improve care access and treatment experiences. Its BC Navi app supports patient education, care tracking, resource connection, and communication with oncology support teams. The organization also works with cancer centers and healthcare stakeholders on bias reduction, training, and systems-level interventions to improve breast cancer outcomes. While it operates in healthcare, it is not a drug-development biotech or pharmaceutical company and does not appear to have a therapeutic pipeline in the conventional sense.
