The Commonwealth Project

The Commonwealth Project (TCP) is a non-profit pharmaceutical company and healthcare initiative dedicated to transforming senior care through the integration of medical cannabis and cannabinoid-based therapies (CBT). Founded by philanthropist Howard Kessler and led by CEO Dan Kistner, the organization focuses on restoring the body's endocannabinoid system to address age-related ailments such as chronic pain, arthritis, and Alzheimer's disease while reducing reliance on addictive pharmaceuticals. TCP conducts large-scale pilot programs and research in collaboration with leading medical institutions, including the Morehouse School of Medicine and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, to generate real-world evidence for the safety and efficacy of CBD in the 65+ population. The project also engages in significant policy advocacy, notably influencing federal discussions around the rescheduling of cannabis to improve medical access and research.
