The Donna Foundation

The Donna Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing financial assistance and support to those living with breast cancer while funding ground-breaking research. Founded in 2003 by three-time breast cancer survivor and journalist Donna Deegan, the foundation operates the DONNA CareLine to help patients navigate insurance and financial barriers to care. It is widely recognized for its signature fundraising event, the DONNA Marathon Weekend, which is the only marathon in the U.S. dedicated to finishing breast cancer. Proceeds from the foundation's efforts primarily support the Mayo Clinic Breast Cancer Translational Genomics Program and provide critical debt relief for patients. The organization's mission encompasses both immediate patient advocacy and the long-term goal of eradicating breast cancer through scientific advancement.
