The Eye Foundation for Research in Ophthalmology

The Eye Foundation for Research in Ophthalmology is a non-profit research organization based in Birmingham, Alabama, dedicated to the advancement of vision science and the prevention of blindness. Established in 1953, the foundation was the driving force behind the creation of the Eye Foundation Hospital, now known as the UAB Callahan Eye Hospital, which remains the only facility in Alabama dedicated entirely to eye care.
