The First Look Lab

The First Look Lab is a high-volume digital optical laboratory located in Alton, Illinois, serving the greater St. Louis area. The facility specializes in the precision manufacturing of prescription eyeglass lenses, offering services such as digital surfacing, finishing, and advanced anti-reflective (AR) coating. Originally established as the internal production hub for Crown Vision Center, the lab was acquired in 2017 by Acuity Eyecare Group (now AEG Vision), a portfolio company of Riata Capital Group. It currently functions as the centralized manufacturing facility for AEG Vision's national network of over 150 eyecare practices. The lab utilizes state-of-the-art technology from industry leaders like Schneider and Satisloh to provide high-quality optical products to both affiliated clinics and external partners.
