The Myeloma Crowd

The Myeloma Crowd, now operating as HealthTree for Multiple Myeloma under the HealthTree Foundation, is a patient-driven non-profit organization focused on accelerating a cure for multiple myeloma. Founded in 2012 by patient advocate Jenny Ahlstrom, the organization provides a comprehensive ecosystem of support, including patient education, advocacy, and a sophisticated data-driven research platform. Its flagship technology, the HealthTree Cure Hub, enables patients to manage their medical records while contributing de-identified data to a global database used by researchers to identify patterns and optimize treatments. The foundation also directly funds innovative clinical research through the Myeloma Crowd Research Initiative (MCRI), specifically targeting high-risk and relapsed disease. By empowering patients with information and tools, HealthTree aims to bridge the gap between clinical care and breakthrough research.
