The National Foundation to End Child Abuse and Neglect

The National Foundation to End Child Abuse and Neglect (EndCAN) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that works to reframe child abuse and neglect as a public health, mental health, and medical issue. Founded in 2018 by survivor Lori Poland and pediatrician Dr. Richard Krugman, the foundation focuses on funding research, enhancing professional education, and advocating for systemic policy changes. EndCAN aims to move beyond the legal and social services silos to involve the medical community in prevention and long-term healing. The organization provides resources for survivors and works to eliminate the stigma associated with childhood trauma through national awareness campaigns and collaborative research initiatives.
