The Quantum Group

Quantum Pharma (often referred to as the Quantum Group) was a UK-based pharmaceutical company specializing in the development, manufacture, and distribution of niche medicines and "Specials" (unlicensed medicines). The company operated through several key divisions, including Quantum Pharmaceutical for bespoke formulations and Colonis for the development of niche licensed products transitioning from the unlicensed market. Quantum Pharma was publicly traded on the London Stock Exchange's AIM market before being acquired by Clinigen Group in 2017 for approximately £150 million. The acquisition integrated Quantum's extensive portfolio of niche generics and its manufacturing capabilities into Clinigen's global platform for unlicensed and licensed medicines.
