The Synthesis Institute is a private psychedelic education, retreat, and practitioner-training company operating in the mental health and wellness space. The organization is best known for professionally guided legal psychedelic retreats in the Netherlands and for its Psychedelic Practitioner Core Training program for aspiring facilitators and practitioners. Historically, Synthesis experienced a high-profile operational and bankruptcy-related collapse in parts of its earlier business in 2023, particularly around its Oregon expansion, but its training business later continued under new leadership. The current website presents The Synthesis Institute as a daughter company of The Resurgence Training Institute Inc. and markets active education, events, and retreat offerings. It is not a traditional biotech or pharma drug developer and does not appear to have a conventional therapeutic product pipeline.
