The Walton Centre

The Walton Centre (officially The Walton Centre NHS Foundation Trust) is the UK’s only specialist hospital trust providing comprehensive neurology, neurosurgery, spinal, pain management, and rehabilitation services. It is rated ‘Outstanding’ by the Care Quality Commission and serves a catchment area of 3.5 million people across the North West of England, the Isle of Man, and North Wales, with additional specialist referrals from across the UK. The centre treats over 127,000 outpatients and 18,000 inpatients annually, and its neurosurgery division is one of the largest in the UK, performing thousands of procedures each year. It has a strong focus on clinical research and teaching, and a dedicated Neuroscience Research Centre.
