Therabor Pharmaceuticals is an Italian biotechnology company and academic spin-off from the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, founded in 2011. The company specializes in the development of a boron-based chemical platform for the discovery of novel therapeutics, particularly beta-lactamase inhibitors. Its research focuses on boronic acid derivatives, such as triazole-substituted boronic acids and sulfonamide boronates like CR161, which are designed to combat multidrug-resistant (MDR) Gram-negative bacterial infections.
