Theradigm

Theradigm was a biotechnology company specializing in the development of antigen-specific DNA vaccines designed to stimulate potent cytotoxic T-lymphocyte (CTL) responses. Spun off from Cytel Corporation in 1996, the company utilized its proprietary PADRE technology to enhance the immunogenicity of its vaccine candidates for infectious diseases and oncology. Its lead programs included DNA-based therapies for Hepatitis B and HIV, which were among the earliest DNA vaccines to reach clinical trials. In 1999, the company was acquired by PowderJect Pharmaceuticals, which integrated Theradigm's vaccine technology into its needle-free delivery systems.
