TheraLogics

TheraLogics was a biopharmaceutical company dedicated to developing small molecule therapeutics that target the NF-kappaB signaling pathway for cancer treatment. Founded as a spin-out from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill by Dr. Albert Baldwin, the company focused on inhibiting the IKK complex to sensitize resistant tumors to conventional therapies. Their research primarily addressed solid tumors, including colorectal and pancreatic cancers, where NF-kappaB activation is a known driver of chemoresistance. Although the company successfully secured federal research grants and identified several preclinical leads, it eventually ceased operations and was dissolved in 2016. Its work contributed significantly to the understanding of NF-kappaB as a viable therapeutic target in oncology.
