Company intelligence / Profile preview
Therapeutic Proteins International, commonly abbreviated TPI, was a U.S.-based biotechnology company focused on development and manufacture of biosimilar recombinant therapeutic proteins. The company operated cGMP/BLA-compliant biologics manufacturing capabilities and worked on cytokines, monoclonal antibodies, and other recombinant protein products. In November 2016, TPI changed its name to Adello Biologics and relocated its corporate headquarters to Piscataway, New Jersey while retaining a major manufacturing site in Chicago. Its disclosed pipeline included biosimilar filgrastim, pegfilgrastim, and adalimumab programs, with lead candidates aimed at oncology and immunology markets. In January 2019, Adello Biologics was acquired by Kashiv Pharma, which then became Kashiv BioSciences, so the original TPI entity is no longer active as an independent company.
