Company intelligence / Profile preview
Thermedical’s SERF Ablation System with the Durablate catheter has shown promising results in clinical trials for ventricular tachycardia. In a recent multi-center trial, immediate elimination of clinical VT was achieved in most participants at the end of the procedure, and therapies such as shock or pace regulation were substantially reduced or eliminated in about three quarters of patients during six-month follow-up. The system has FDA Breakthrough Device Designation and received $3 million NIH funding to support ongoing trials. For soft tissue ablation outside cardiology, their system and needle are already FDA-cleared.
