Overview
Initial clinical data from the ongoing Phase I trial of THE001 show encouraging safety and early signs of efficacy. No renal or cardiac impairment or formulation-related adverse events were observed; no patients discontinued due to adverse events. The approach achieves up to a 15-fold increase in local tumor drug concentration with a favorable pharmacokinetic profile compared to conventional doxorubicin.[2] The company has initiated the final dose level in its Phase I trial as of early 2024.[1] European Orphan Drug Designation granted for STS.[5]
