Think-A-Move is a technology company specializing in speech recognition and communication solutions for high-noise environments and assistive healthcare. The company developed a patented ear-canal microphone technology that captures speech from inside the ear, effectively filtering out external noise. In the healthcare sector, Think-A-Move applied this technology to create voice-controlled systems for power wheelchairs and communication aids for individuals with severe physical disabilities. These solutions were particularly targeted at patients suffering from Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), spinal cord injuries, and other forms of paralysis. The company's core technology, the "Power-Mic," was also utilized by the military and first responders for reliable communication in extreme conditions. Think-A-Move was acquired by Knowles Corporation in 2017 to integrate its signal processing and noise-cancellation capabilities into broader consumer and industrial audio products.
